Matthew Frith

Very sad to hear of the death of Matthew Frith, urban ecologist, founder of Woodberry Wetlands and heartbeat of the London Wildlife Trust. He was 64. Matthew was one of the earliest supporters of Cool Oak, the pressure group I started in 2021 to help reverse decades of neglect at Brent Reservoir. He visited the reservoir in spite of poor health and gave great advice. On a personal note, I was always amazed and honoured to hear he also attended one of my first ever solo concerts in Croydon in 1982, when I was 19.
